Oconto County Transportation Services
PROVIDED BY
Starting January 2025, Oconto County is contracting with Menominee Regional Transit to provide transportation to elderly and disabled citizens as part of the Department of Transportation’s 85.21 grant. This service was previously provided by Oconto County Commission on Aging.
WHO CAN RIDE?
As a part of our partnership, transportation is available to all Oconto County Residents. Vehicles are ADA compliant and equipped with wheelchair lifts.
COST?
Fares or mileage reimbursement are requested for rides. Reduced fares are available to residents aged 55 + as well as individuals with disabilities.
NEEDS?
This transportation service is provided for individuals who need rides for medical appointments, nutritional needs (groceries), social or recreational purposes, and personal business.
WHERE and WHEN?
City of Oconto Route: rides are available Monday - Friday.
Medical Escort Program: for individuals living throughout Oconto County specifically with medical appointments, rides can be pre-scheduled Monday - Friday.
Oconto County Rural Route:
Mondays: Northern route (Townships of Townsend, Lakewood, Doty, Riverview, Mountain, and Northern Brazeau)
Tuesdays: Central route (Townships of Breed, Bagley, Southern Brazeau, How, Maple Valley, Spruce, Underhill, and Gillett)
Wednesdays: Oconto Falls route (Oconto Falls township and the city of Oconto Falls)
Thursday: Eastern route (Townships of Lena, Little River, Stiles, and Oconto (not City of Oconto)
Fridays: Southern route (Townships of Morgan, Abrams, Pensaukee, Chase and Little Suamico)
